Fire Escapes
I live in a three storey flat and lately I have been a little worried as I have seen a chap hanging around outside the Fire Escapesin the evenings. Because I live on my own I am incredibly conscious of security and seeing this man near the Fire Escapeshas given me a real cause for worry as I think that he may somehow be able to enter the flats this way. After discussing it with a friend and telephoned the police to tell them about the intruder. The police were really understanding and they really understood my worry about the man being near the fire escapes. They said that they would send somebody over that very night to patrol the area. Their presence has certainly worked and since they came, the man has been nowhere to be seen. I am so relieved and am delighted to feel safe again in my own home. I doon`t think that anyone who does not live on their own can understand quite how vulnerable one feels in this situation, particularly a woman living on their own. What has delighted me no end is that the police are really taking these sentiments on board.

Jewellery Display
I was drooling looking in a jewellery store window the other day at the selection of Rolex watches they had for sale. There`s something about these high quality watches that makes me go all weak at the knees. The crafty jewellers have worked hard on their Jewellery Display and it certainly grabs your attention as you walk by. I`ve actually been in this store a few times in the past year to buy items for my forthcoming wedding. The last time I went in was to buy my wedding ring and I saw the perfect item staring back at me from the Jewellery Display they had inside the store. Lucckily the jewellers had the ring in my size and it was promptly purchased there and then. I like it when a store makes an effort with their Jewellery Display and from their point of view it must do the business no amount of good. If the display attracts people there`ll be more chance that they want to buy the items that are for sale. My favourite jeweller always has a cracking display, both in their windows and inside the store. I realised this the other day as I was stood admiring the lovely Rolex watches that they have for sale at the moment.
